The World Resources Forum (WRF) conference is the flagship activity of the World Resources Forum Secretariat. It is a bi-annual global conference, to be held in Davos, Switzerland, with regional events in the years between.
The WRF conference is hereby an independent, international expert platform to discuss the economic and political implications of the current resource use trends, and to promote and facilitate innovation for resource productivity by building bridges between scientists, researchers and consultants (supply side) and policymakers, business, NGO’s, media and the public (demand side).
The WRF aims to bring the issues of global resource consumption and resource productivity, of which climate change is an important aspect, higher on the agenda of policymakers and business. Scarcity and security of supply and price risks of certain resources, pollution and energy use over the lifecycle of certain resources, and social impacts, in particular in developing countries, are aspects which the WRF includes in its work.
WRF 2012 will be held at China National Convention Center (Beijing) on October 21-23, 2012. Main theme of this forum is Resources and Green Economy.
The WRF 2012 provide a platform to exchange knowledge about scientific, technological, economic, political and environmental implications.
